Now in Gaborone , in a nice small hotel, with wireless connection. Bored. Completely empty. Filling myself from a carton box of white whine - for some reasons I got a light wine with less kcalories (basically you can obtain it mixing wine and water, which is something I will never do with consciousness).
So the sampling process is over, in the most unpredictable way. We had a final destination, a village close to the Central Kgalagadi Game Reserve, in which we were interested because of a strange Sesarwa language spoken. We travelled more than 4 hours, considering fixing a cracked wind screen and another tire puncture. And when we got there, we met the kgosi (the chief), explained the story, and he said, nice project, but here this is a special village controlled and protected by the government, and for research you have to pass through a complex iter of requests. So, for the first time in our trip, no sampling. Due di picche. We couldn’t work. Back to Gaborone .
My last sampling day in Botswana is now a few days ago, when we stopped in a very isolated village, and I couldn’t work because of headache of travel sickness, Bless doing all the job with me complaining, my only contribute has been accidentally throwing the book of life into some chicken shit. Then I felt better when I saw the baobab on a nice landscape.
And now, after all that going up and down and up again in the remote villages and sleeping in all conditions, I am done. And the only thing I would like to do now, as stubborn as i can be, it’s sleeping again in the bloody tent, my small self under the wide sky sparkling of stars.
When do I see the milky way again?
