we are scientists

it's a fact.

the most skilled of my non italian readers might have recognized in the previous post the astonishing event of an elephant (elefante) crossing the road, and the danger of an elephant who might want to play with your car.

now I am alone ruling the project. We are leaving for Shakawe, very north on the Okavango Delta. Just impregnated my clothes with permetrine anti mosquitos. malaria zone. back next Sunday. Going to meet Linda and Falko, my friends/collegues, the Linguists, who want to join for a few days the sampling process. I start to feel a little bit lost. Just a little bit. maybe I am just missing my boss pushing me "it's 6 o'clock, let's get up", "we need to sample more, more samples, non related samples, more villages, please don't take days off, i am too worrried we won't get enough samples, you'll have your days off later, for Christmas in Italy". Or maybe it's just all this non stop running through villages and making plans and daily strategies. but we are scientists, and there is a project to carry on, and what a project! oh yeah.

Anyway, i guess it's like my routine, so nothing new. if I got a house and a job in Spain, if I got a house and a job in Germany, it's just making daily plans and strategies, and somehow survive, find food, find a place to sleep, deal with people out of my culture, so again, nothing new, no need to worry.

I have to find a way to start enjoying camping.

So time to leave now, i guess i will write again in 5-6 days. Hope i will have network there.
love,
k

All written parts are just the result of my natural stream of consciousness, and maybe facts and people cited are imaginary. But i took all the pictures. This blog is not a scientific one, sorry. I just made it for my personal amusement.
